Our Team

when we enter the design process, we enter into a relationship with you. and for every relationship, shared values are key. here are ours.

Jill May

From her brightly patterned skirts to her interiors, Jill is a walking representation of designing your life to actualize your goals and inner self.

“My approach is to play with proportions, textures, art, + elements I find in the architecture and collections of my clients homes. My job is to communicate though fixtures, tile, and fabric, and my hope for every client-designer relationship is to be thoughtful about how to tell their unique story though materials + curate how they want to live their life.

I want all the homes I touch to to feel alive with the life of those who live there; imbued with their character, so that no project looks alike or follows a formula.”

Before starting Jill May Interiors in 2005, Jill owned and operated a company in China that sourced antique furniture, architectural pieces + contemporary Chinese art throughout the country + coordinated the importing of the pieces to high end design showrooms across the US. She believes that the pieces we select for our spaces, by design, are meant to offer opportunities to open the door to conversation and human connection.

Hungry to continue designing + raise a family, Jill launched Jill May Interiors and she now leads a team of women designers and a strong support team of sub contractors, taking on home design projects from all over the city of Austin.
